I've been out of contact with my creditors for years now, and now I'm thinking about settling. I want to log into my acct to take a peak at the status--will that reset the statute of limitations? thank you, Alex

I am not sure what you mean...but I think what would restart the clock on your SoL is you admitting that you owe the debt and you promising to pay for it.Why not check your state's SoL first, see if it really has expired - here:
